With its unmistakable appearance, the MINI Clubman is the most elegant of all MINI models. Fans of its exclusive body and unmistakable split door can now purchase the MINI Clubman in the Final Edition. Limited to 1,969 units, the edition celebrates MINI’s modern interpretation of the shooting-brake concept.
Munich. In 1969, the first Mini Clubman carried a clear message, which designer Roy Haynes expressed in these words: “The idea that only ugly things can be functional is gone”. This exceptionally stylish car caused a sensation right from the start, between 1969 and 1981, with its characteristic split door at the rear. At the time, the Mini Clubman conquered the automotive market as a station wagon with a long wheelbase and shooting-brake body. In the new 2007 edition, the MINI Clubman offered a modern interpretation of the classic shooting-brake concept. For access to the rear, there was only one door on the right-hand side of the vehicle. With the third generation of the model from 2015, the MINI Clubman grew again to 4.25 metres in length and became more spacious and comfortable thanks to a longer wheelbase and larger rear side doors.
Together with the unique split rear door, the MINI Clubman remains one of the most versatile MINI models to date. The large cargo opening makes it easier to load the boot, which currently holds up to 1,250 litres. Limited to 1,969 units, of which 50 in Italy, the Final Edition cites the year of birth of the legendary Mini Clubman and combines the brand’s heritage with exclusive design elements and bold features.
The most exclusive of its kind
The MINI Cooper S Clubman Final Edition with 131 kW/178 hp (combined fuel consumption: 6.7 – 6.3 l/100 km; combinedCO2 emissions: 153 – 143 g/km according to WLTP) has always stood for dynamic driving, style and comfort. As a special edition, it is available in Nanuq White, Enigmatic Black and Melting Silver and is exclusively available in the Cooper S powertrain. With charismatic details in the colour Shimmer Copper, the limited edition refers to the history of outstanding design talent. The edges and the radiator grille cross-member are in the special edition colour, as are the MINI Cooper S Blade typical of the model and the door sills. The graphic motif of the 18-inch light-alloy wheels in the Final Edition Spoke 2-tone design is also finished in a coloured clear coat reminiscent of copper, giving the shade an elegant sheen.
On the underside of the side doors, dedicated Final Edition stripes accentuate the elongated body of the iconic shooting-brake. They are also found on the passenger side of the bonnet and on the right side of the split doors. Here, the gleaming ‘Final Edition’ lettering elegantly signifies the special edition, as does the ‘1 of 1969’ badge on the side of the C-pillar. The Union Jack rear lights refer to the MINI Clubman‘s British origins.
Exclusive details in the interior
The interior of the MINI Clubman Final Edition underlines the exclusive aura of the limited special edition with numerous equipment details. For example, the door sills with the edition-specific “Final Edition” inscription, which is also found on the lower spoke of the comfortable Nappa leather sports steering wheel, already create a special atmosphere inside the edition model. The comfortable MINI Yours leather sports seats with adjustable thigh bolsters and stitched edition badges are trimmed in Dark Maroon. They also elegantly feature an anthracite-coloured Piquet fabric insert and blue contrast stitching.
In the passenger compartment, the first thing that catches the eye from the central instrument panel is the dark dashboard trim, framed by mouldings in Sage Green Dark and the edition-specific Shimmer Copper colour. On the passenger side, the “1 of 1969” badge on the dashboard is a reminder of the exclusivity of the MINI Clubman Final Edition. A badge with the same design can also be found on the floor mats, while a special inscription adorns the key cover of the MINI Clubman Final Edition. Standard Connected Media equipment includes an 8.8-inch touch display in the central instrument cluster, MINI Online digital service, Remote Services and smartphone integration for the use of Apple CarPlay and other apps via the car’s control system. The latest generation of the MINI operating system optimises the options for fast and intuitive control of the car’s functions, audio programme, communication, navigation and apps. The 1,969 MINI Clubman Final Edition cars produced offer MINI fans the opportunity to experience its extraordinary elegance.
