Designitaly.com. NEIGE Porcelain Placeholder Plates Set of Two, by Richard Ginori for Cassina. Cassina in collaboration with Ginori 1735 and Pernette Perriand-Barsac. Charlotte Perriand’s design is an expression of a new art de vivre that breaks with the mould of her era, of an approach to design that is nourished by cross-cutting interests and activities, among which photography undoubtedly plays an important role. In this art, Perriand poured her passion for nature observed in its smallest and most revealing details. The collection Le Monde de Charlotte Perriand, born from the collaboration between Cassina and Pernette Perriand-Barsac, Charlotte’s daughter and founder of her mother’s archives, is inspired by the patterns of photographs taken by Perriand between 1933 and 1934 and made in collaboration with Ginori1735. Hand-decorated patterns for a plate service that brings to fruition another of the designer’s passions, that for ceramics, developed in contact with Japanese masters during the years she lived in the Orient. The Le Monde de Charlotte Perriand collection consists of an underplate, a flat plate, a soup plate and a dessert plate, presented in a set of two, with three different decors that can be mixed or matched. The plates bear designs inspired by shots of Charlotte. Here, painted on the plates in the Tronc pattern, are the circular striations of a tree trunk that could be the face of a lemur or the sensual mouth of an Indian goddess. Or again, in the Neige service, the contours of a plate of snow in the cracks of a stone floor, portrayed in the forest of Fontainebleau in 1934, evoking mythological animals or gorgons. Or, again, the fishbone of the Arêteche service refers to a working tool of unknown use. Product Details Colour: Blue, White Material: Porcelain Dimensions (cm): Ø 33
