Once again this year, Novamobili has chosen Milan Design Week, the most important international event for the design industry, to present its latest innovations to interior design professionals and enthusiasts. In its renovated Milan flagship store in Via Melchiorre Gioia, the company will offer trade professionals a preview of the new finishes that will expand the already rich range of customisations in its catalogue.
Increasingly at the heart of Novamobili’s philosophy, the theme of sustainability, which has represented a value for the company for over twenty years, will be the protagonist of the layout: GREEN [R]EVOLUTION is in fact the name chosen by Novamobili to identify the leitmotif of Fuorisalone 2023 and expressed visually by the major green installations that will literally invade the space. A way of emphasising the attention that the company has always dedicated to the environment and sustainability. This mood also includes the special Playlist signed by Alessio Bertallot exclusively for Novamobili, an original soundtrack to Fuorisalone 2023. An alternation of music tracks and natural sounds recorded live in the area where the company is based (from the wind in the trees and vineyards to the lively noises of the small villages in the Prosecco area) to evoke the territorial identity and the value of environmental protection.
SUSTAINABILITY
Projects relating to the environment and safety are some of the objectives confirmed again this year by Novamobili. Over the years, the company has imposed a self-regulatory code for the use of eco-friendly materials and sustainable painting processes: Novamobili was one of the first manufacturing companies to use water-based paints back in 2002, and in order to continue to improve its commitment to safeguarding the environment, by the end of this year it will complete the transition to the use of BIO water-based paint, which is even more high-performance and environmentally friendly. The company’s sustainable work culture has enabled it to obtain numerous certifications guaranteeing attention to both environmental protection and the safety of its workers and end customers: Novamobili has in fact adopted an integrated workplace management system in accordance with UNI EN ISO 14001 and UNI ISO 45001 standards. Novamobili furniture uses panels that have international certifications such as Ecological Panel (for the use of 100% recycled wood) and Carb2 (California Air Resources Board) and come from a certified supply chain.
FINISHINGS
The new Argilla Lapis finish is the perfect synthesis of craftsmanship, respect for nature and technical expertise. The door in this finish is covered with three layers of clay (composed of a mixture of cement and earth), shaped by hand and then dried. This particular process gives the product an exclusive, refined and delicately textured texture, for a surprising experience to the touch and to the eye. Argilla Lapis is an Italian product resistant to use and light and durable over time; it is available for numerous collections in the Novamobili catalogue. New finishes include the new Rovere Bianco essence: available for all the collections, it extends the family of veneers (Canaletto Walnut and Roveri). Also in this option, Novamobili has combined aesthetics and environmental responsibility: the wood in this finish comes, in fact, from a certified supply chain The expansion of the finishes in some collections confirms the importance of the concept of transversality for Novamobili: the Rays fronts, characterised by highly distinctive vertical engravings, are now also available in all the Roveri, in addition to Canaletto Walnut and matt and oxidised Lacquer. They are available in the sleeping area in the Easy and Sly systems, in the living area in the Box 18 storage units, in the Belt sideboard and in the Wall 30 bookcase. Also for the Wall 30 bookcase it is now possible to choose the six oak veneer finishes in addition to Matt/oxidised lacquer, Supermatt and Ecolegno.
NEW CATALOGUE
Always keen to update its proposals, but also its communication to the end customer, Novamobili has renewed its wardrobe catalogue, available by thesummer. The new Wardrobes and Walk-in closets proposes numerous settings of the night area highlighting the potential of the wardrobe and walk-in wardrobe system not only from an aesthetic point of view, but also from a design point of view, providing technical information and in-depth analysis on the various solutions available. An effective tool for those who have to design the bedroom.
FLAGSHIP STORE ZURICH
One of the most interesting novelties for Novamobili in this first part of the year is the opening of the first flagship store outside the Italian borders: a space designed to reflect the aesthetic essence of the brand but with an even more international outlook will be inaugurated in Zurich before the summer.
